It's Never Free

Free this and Free that, everywhere I look something is being offered for free. In my mailbox, in my email, on the radio, and on the TV. whats the catch? In todays mail their was a coupon section and the local Arby's said Free coke but when you look at the fine print this was with the purchase of a sandwich. Another ad said free pizza when you buy a regular pizza you get the second one for free. On Ebay a lot of the ads state free shipping but are they jacking up the price of the item so that they can give you this free shipping?

On the internet there are all the free reports and free ebooks or the one I like is these business opportunities that say free training. There is always a catch though. Like these free reports and ebooks. They either give you just enough information to make you want more or what they are giving you for free is a 'lite' version of what you would be getting if you had bought the paid version. There is always a price.

Remember when we were kids and used to play Monopoly? You could get a "Get out of Jail FREE" card but it had a cost. The cost was you had to go to jail in order to use it. A lot of companies off Free trials for their services and products but with most of them you have to give them your CC details and after the trial is finished they start automatically billing you monthly or even weekly. I have tried to take advantage of these by cancelling on the last day but if you sign up for too many of them 1 might sneak by which has happened to me.

I received one email a few days ago from a friend of mine of this lady who was supposedly broke 13 years ago but now she is making a great income and she wants to show you how to do this. She even goes on to say that she knows what its like to be broke and wants to make her course available to everybody who has wasted all their money with other courses but finally after you give your information you get an email from her with a link on it and the price is just under $1000. This is not five payments equalling this amount but one payment. The question I have is that if she nows how it feels having wasted all of your money on other opportunities and coaching programs then why would we now waste another $1000 on her program after we have been burned so much in the past. The reason she is making money now is because she is selling her course for almost $1,000. So what if she is paying affiliates $500 of that she still has a nice chunk of change left over.

I get so many emails from so many marketers giving away free reports, videos, and MP3s's but the bottom line is they are all just sales letters of some sort. On a lot of the pages they direct you to these are called Squeeze pages where they give you so little info and then if you want to get more you have to give them your name and email address. Once they have this information they now will send you other emails offering you advice but also making offers for other products.

My son, Jacob, heard a radio annexing the other day, actually it was a commercial, but saying how you could get a Free Laptop computer just for answering a few short questions. I visited this site and at first they just get your info and then before you go on they make all these offers. Keep in mind that for every offer you say yes to that you have to fill out another form with a lot more information. After about an hour and a Gazillion questions they took me to a screen saying that I was almost half way there. I closed my browser right away because I did not want to have to fill out offers on another 1,000 pages. I did find out about 2 marketers who used these types of sites to get subscribers, both of them were these No Money down real estate gurus which I'm sure you have seen.

Even free software still has a cost. You may pay almost a $1000 for a Microsoft product but at least the support for the first ninety days won't cost you anything. Free software however offers very little and sometimes no support. I heard a rumor recently that Microsoft was going to be offering low cost or free hosting but then what will they be charging per minute for support?

Travel Dreams of Spain -- The Journey Before the Trip

Half the pleasure of traveling is in the anticipation. Theres magic in waiting for the day to come, the expectation of being somewhere new, somewhere exotic, inhaling strangely fragrant air, and feeling foreign breezes stroke your skin. To get maximum enjoyment from your pre-trip daydreaming, I always think it pays to learn a bit about where youre going before you set foot out the door.

There are cities that can enchant you, where the flagstones of the piazzas and squares can capture your imagination, basilicas and palaces where you can succumb to musing on the generations of feet that trod the very spot where you now stand. But only if you have some inkling of their history.

Spain is one of those evocative destinations a sweeping backdrop for some of the most intriguing, grand, and turbulent history that has ever been written. In case you find yourself Espaa bound this year or next, here is a random smattering of geographic, historical and other tidbits to set your reveries in motion as you pack.

Occupying eighty-five percent of the Iberian Peninsula at the southwestern tip of Europe, Spain is the continents third largest country. Her outlying territories include the Balearic Islands -- Majorca, Menorca and Ibiza -- and the Canary Islands over six hundred miles south, off the North African coast.

Spain today is an exuberant blend of striking contrasts, a place where the traditional and the ultra-modern live side by side. Spanish identity has been shaped by a long, eventful history and by the large footprints left by those who first invaded and colonized the land.

Ancient Greeks and Phoenicians swept through the peninsular ahead of the Romans who came in 300 BC. The imperial conquerors brought their highly developed language and architecture, their agricultural techniques, and unusual new crops like wine grapes and wheat. Evidence of renowned Roman engineering, like the amphitheater in Merida and the great aqueduct in Segovia, remains in many parts of Spain today.

After the Romans, came the Visigoths, one of the many Germanic tribes who had converted to Christianity. They ruled Iberia from their court at Barcelona for three hundred years. Next to take center stage in Spain's drama were the North African Moors who occupied Iberia for seven centuries, imprinting what would become the Spanish language, Spanish architecture and Spanish cuisine with their own unique eastern characteristics. Their influence and legacy are particularly visible in the south, in places like Granada where the great Moorish Fortress, the Alhambra, still stands.

Until the Moors were driven out of the Iberian peninsular in 1492, Spain remained a disconnected group of separate kingdoms. Andalusia, Galicia, Leon, Castilla, Aragon and Catalunya were autonomous and independent until Queen Isabel and King Ferdinand began the process of uniting them into one nation, Espaa.

The ensuing turn of the century began the Golden Age of Spain. Intrepid explorers like Columbus, Pizarro and Cortes set sail around the globe, and for the next two hundred years Spain achieved naval and economic supremacy, making it one of the leading colonial powers of the day.

Predominantly catholic today, the Spain of earlier times was traditionally a cosmopolitan blended society with a reputation for humanistic tolerance. Medieval Moorish culture from 750 to 1050 was highly educated, particularly advanced in mathematics and medicine. For centuries, a substantial Jewish population which prized learning and philosophy endowed Spain with its wisdom and business acumen. Spanish Jews, Moors and Christians lived together in what we would regard today as a very progressive liberal society.

The great university at Salamanca was founded in the early 13th century and became the brightest academic beacon in Europe, matched only by the famous bastions of education founded in the previous century in Paris, Bologna and Oxford. For several hundred years a degree in the Sciences from Salamanca was the most coveted credential to which a scholar could aspire.

Down through the ages many empires have scaled Iberia's mountain ranges, inhabited her shores and marched across her arid plains. Ultimately all succumbed to Spain's siren song and were assimilated into her culture, impacting and changing it, as much as they were impacted and changed by it.

Today's Spain is a parliamentary monarchy comprised of autonomous regions. Each has a distinctive landscape, its own unique history and cultural traditions, a regional cuisine, and sometimes a separate language which distinguishes its natives. The intoxicating energy of Spain can seduce, mystify and mesmerize. Few visitors escape the lure of her charms.

You can ski the peaks and snow caps of the Pyrenees, sunbathe on endless white sand beaches, rub elbows with the jet set in Marbella, or take a dusty road up into the pueblos blancas and find your soul in the raw emotion of Andalusia's gyspsy flamenco. Just bring your open heart... you won't find a warmer welcome anywhere on the continent.

I Just Want a Good Deal! OK! Now What Do I Do?

There are many factors at play to determine the best time to purchase a vehicle, whether new or used. These factors involve local, national, and local/national events that occur on a regular and irregular basis. Having said that, one would have to master the knowledge of economic and business trade cycles, and then attempt to apply that information to a specific vehicle within your specific purchase arena.

The real way to purchase a vehicle (and you can do this 365 days and nights a year) is by doing your homework and being prepared to buy rather than being sold. Is that possible? Absolutely, and by investing a few hours of time you will save hundreds, even thousands of dollars, and you will be empowered and you will know what you are doing.

There exists on the internet every tool you will ever need to make an intelligent vehicle purchase. There are sources that combine all the information that you will ever need in a simple and straightforward format that is easy to follow and simple to navigate. www.thebestdealofyourlife.com is as good as it gets, and supplies you with all the needed site information with links, simple fill in the blank forms, and a complete guide to take you through the buying/selling/trading process step by step.

The key to success in anything we do is knowledge, preparation, and application. Want to be a surgeon? K. P. A. Want to be a lawyer? K. P. A. Want to be an accountant? K. P. A. Regardless of what we do, buy a car, build a house, buy a lawnmower or bake a cake, what is required? Knowledge, preparation, and application.

I continually answer questions on a regular basis about making a car deal. How? What to do? When? Where do I get the information I need? What is this? What is that? And after having assisted thousands of customers in their purchases it is easy to understand why those questions are asked.

The car people purposely keep their customers in the dark as to the information they need to make a good deal, and always have. Now that the information is readily available (although there are very few places where one can go and get most of what they need, and only a handful where they can get everything they need) it is still difficult for the buyer to put it all together in an understandable and easily workable format that actually works in their favor.

So, what does one need to get a good deal, and what does it take to get a great deal? Knowledge. Preparation. Application. And I would add the willingness of one to actually invest the effort to get a good deal which requires doing their homework BEFORE visiting the car store. Everything is there, the difficult part is finding the information in one place, and information that actually works, is consumer friendly and simple to apply.

Six Ways to Use the Internet to Improve Your New & Used-Vehicle Shopping Experience to Buy or Lease;

With so much content and information available online today, the Internet is making it easier than ever for prospective buyers to shop for a used vehicle. The following tips may be helpful for shoppers in the market for a used vehicle and may help improve satisfaction with their used-vehicle purchase experience.

1. Visit a variety of Web sites. With an abundance of information available online for used-vehicle shoppers, its helpful to know where to find what youre looking for. Independent sites are good places to find intuitive search tools that match shoppers with the right vehicle for their needs, as well as pricing and reliability information. Dealerships often maintain sites that provide their current vehicle inventories, while many manufacturer sites allow shoppers to search for certified pre-owned vehicles in their area.

2. Search for comparative used-vehicle pricing. The development of Web sites such as Kelley Blue Book (kbb.com), AutoTrader.com and Edmunds.com have made searching for used-vehicle pricing information easy. Using these sites to compare prices will give shoppers a general idea of their desired vehicles price range without leaving the comfort of their homes.

3. Consider online classified ads. Online classified ads sites such as AutoTrader.com and cars.com are a competitive and convenient tool to give shoppers more options when considering a used vehicle. These sites allow sellers to post used-vehicle listings along with several pictures that can be viewed easily by shoppers, based on their preferred zip code.

4. Purchase or ask for a Vehicle History Report. Vehicle History Reports (VHRs) are an inexpensive way to check the track record of any used vehicle. According to the 2006 Used Autoshopper.com Study, nearly one-third (32%) of automotive Internet users receive a free vehicle history report from the seller. If your dealer or private seller does not offer a VHR free of charge, one can be purchased online through sites such as CARFAX.com and AutoCheck.com.

5. Search for financing and compare interest rates online. When shoppers have financing arranged ahead of time, it often gives them greater negotiating power when dealing with the seller. On most sites, applying for financing is fairly easy, and the interest rates offered by many online lenders are comparable to or possibly better than those offered by dealers.

Vacation In Mexico

Mexico, our neighbor down south is the perfect place for your next vacation. With the Gulf Coast on one end and the Caribbean on another, it is a favorite for many tourists.

Mexico is a study of contrasts of ancient and modern, aside from the landscape, there is the blend of cultures from the indigenous peoples to the cosmopolitan cities and plenty of beaches choose from.

The country spans about 1964,375 square kilometers. It is divided in six regions each with their own attractions for the visitor.

Northern Mexico-Dunes, Desert and Sierra Madre

For those who want a little bit of nature and adventure you should head to northern Mexico. Northern Mexico is made of the states of Durango, Nuevo Leon, Sonora, Tamaulipas, Chihuahua, Coahuila and Zacatecas. There are the mountains of Sierra Madre that provide you with wonderful views of sun rising and setting.

If you like camping and would like to bring back a collection of beautiful pictures of nature you could go to the Cuatro Ciengas desert in Coahuila. There you would not be disappointed with the spectacular views and you must make time to enjoy the natural hot springs.

5 Natural Stress Relief Techniques for Children

Is your child stressed out? Some people think only adults experience stress, but it affects our children too. Here's how to help your child manage their emotions.

We often view our kids as happy-go-lucky beings without a care. But children can also experience stress. Not only do they get anxious about things in their own young world--school, friends, peer pressure--but they also can be deeply affected by outside factors such as war, natural disasters and other unsettling world events.

In fact, the list of contributors to childhood stress can be quite long. Many stressors are the result of family problems, like divorce, a death or a parent's job loss but there are also less obvious triggers such as moving to a new city or the birth of a new sibling.

As a parent, you can become attuned to what's a normal amount of anxiety for your child and what is not. If you notice anything out of the ordinary, use the following tools to help your child handle it better.

Tuning into Anxiety Attack symptoms

1. Tune in to their moods.

Pay attention to your child's behavior. Take the time to talk to your child to get to the root of the problem. Ask questions like "How are you feeling?" "What's happening at school?" or "How are things with your friends?"

When you show concern for their problems and issues, it's reassuring to them and they'll be more responsive to that attention.

2. Watch the same shows they do.

If you have younger children, you certainly don't want them watching the doom and gloom of daily news shows. Children's minds are like sponges in they absorb almost everything they see or hear.

They are especially sensitive to negative energy, pain or suffering. Shows like the news can be traumatizing and anxiety-producing for younger children.

It's important to discuss with them what they've seen. You can't tell them that it's never going to happen to them but you can say,"We're going to do everything we can to protect you". It's also a good idea to let them know whom to call and what to do in case of an emergency.

3. Focus on the positive.

There is obviously no way a child can be shielded from a major trauma such as a death in the family, a house fire or a natural disaster. Instead, help children count their blessings. Comfort and reassure them by saying, "We're strong and we're going to make it." "And as difficult as it may be, try to maintain everyday routines.

For many young victims of floods or fire, for example, going back to school, even in another city, can help bring some normalcy back to their disrupted lives. What can also help is to make sure children have positive outlets like physical activity, going to the movies or spending time with friends.

4. Lead by example.

Children often learn to deal with stress by mimicking how you respond in challenging times. Even if you don't tell your child that you're about to be laid off from your job or that you're worried that your marriage is on the verge of breaking up, they can still pick up on your stress.

They may not understand the underlying causes but they can hear the strained tone and elevated volume of your voice, which gives them the message that something's going on that may affect them too.

That's why it's so important to show them good coping skills. If you light a cigarette, have a drink, or use foul language when you're under pressure, your little one may internalize that as a coping method.

Instead, model healthy behavior during difficult times, such as writing in a journal, de-stressing in a hot bath, sharing how you feel
without blaming, or taking a walk.

5. Instill confidence.

When children are young, there are times when you will have to come to their defense and help them handle tough situations. But as they get older, you also have to let them champion themselves, which builds their confidence in their ability to resolve problems on their own.

One of your missions as a parent is to know when to step in and when to stand back. Your response will depend on the child's temperament, maturity and the situation.

For example, your third grader may be able to confront a taunting classmate on their own, but a serious case of bullying may warrant your intervention.

Still, always make sure your child knows you've got their back. Tell them, "Try it on your own first, but if you need help, let me know and I'll be there."

Volunteer Vacations: A Great Way to Contribute to a Favorite Cause

Imagine working with a group of new friends, like-minded individuals from every region of the world, on a project close to your own heart. Helping Katrina victims clean up their devastated homes in New Orleans, clearing hundreds of miles of trails for the Appalachian Mountain Club, building houses for Habitat for Humanity in Africa--all are possible activities available to vacationers willing to volunteer their time.

If you already belong to an organization, whether it is a hiking club, an environmental organization, or a group that provides affordable sustainable housing, becoming involved in their volunteer activities is a great way to start. Many organizations, especially those with a national or international membership, offer structured volunteer opportunities all over the country and around the world.

If you'd like to plan a volunteer vacation but don't know where to start, check out Volunteer Vacations: Short-Term Adventures That Will Benefit You and Others. Written by Bill McMillon, Doug Cutchins, and Anne Geissinger with a foreword by actor Ed Asner, this book gives you an overview of the experiences possible and the costs associated with various trips, and information on the many organizations offering such experiences.

These vacations aren't free; you're generally expected to pick up some or all of your living expenses as well as your travel expenses. Some organizations with local chapters have been known to hold fundraisers for chapter members who volunteer abroad to defray some of the expenses.

Even if you can't spare the time or money for a week-long volunteer vacation to a distant location, you can probably find opportunities closer to home. Each chapter of the AMC, for instance, has weekend volunteer activities. You spend your whole weekend outdoors clearing trails and getting to know your fellow chapter members.

Making new friends. experiencing different cultures. devoting your time and energy to a cause close to your heart-what's better than that?

10 Steps For Planning A Halloween Party - Creative And Creepy Halloween Ideas For Revelers Of All Ages

10 steps for planning a Halloween Party | Creative and creepy Halloween ideas for revelers of all ages

The sky is darkening. You feel a chill and ghostly horrors in the air as the moon shines brightly on this cloudless night. It is the last night of October, October 31st. It is officially Halloween night and you have decided to have a hauntingly exciting Halloween party. How ghoulishly delightful! But where do you start in planning your Halloween holiday celebration. Here are 10 steps to help you in planning a great Halloween Party that will have all those ghosts, wicked witches and grim goblins screaming with delight.

Step 1: Halloween Party Kickoff: Think about who the party is for - for you or your children? An adult Halloween party will be quite different from a children's Halloween party when it comes to planning the Halloween theme of the party, Halloween decorations, Halloween recipes and beverages. Adults and older children usually love to be frightened, but that is not the same for smaller children. So when planning your event keep the ages of your guests in mind. Once you have that figured out, now it is time to pick the date, time and place of your Halloween party. And don't forget the guest list.

Step 2: Halloween invitations: This is where you can have fun and set the mood of your unforgettable night of horror chills and thrills by sending out unique and spookily inviting Halloween party invitations. You can purchase them or make some yourself with some construction paper and some glitter markers, or how about buying some inexpensive Halloween paper eye masks and writing the words on the back. Include all the important information such as date, time, place and a request for RSVP to your Halloween party.

Step 3: Halloween party food and recipes: now the party would not be a party without a lot of great Halloween munchies. Plan a menu and write out your shopping list. Try to do as much in advance as possible, and try to pick Halloween recipes that can be made ahead and stored or frozen. And again, think of the ages of your guests - there are a lot of fun Halloween foods for both kids and adults. Here might be the place to use up some of those Halloween pumpkin guts.

Step 4:Haunted Halloween Pumpkins: plan to buy your pumpkins early to get the best selection. By selecting a variety of shapes and sizes of pumpkins, you will be able to make a variety of interesting jack-o-lanterns ghosts. And don't forget about those miniature pumpkins, they can make great party favors or Halloween decorations also. And the day before the party, carve your pumpkins and double check you have enough candles or use small flashlights to show off their ghostly grins.

Step 5: Halloween Costumes: there is always something exciting about putting on a Halloween costume and taking on another identity. So prepare yourself and your families Halloween party costumes in advance so that you don't have to run around in a panic trying to put something together at the last minute. It is easy to find a lot of great Halloween costume ideas that will not cost a lot of money or time.

Step 6: Halloween Party Games or Activities: Halloween games and craft activities are especially popular for younger Halloween party guests, but this does not mean that adults would not enjoy the fun of Halloween games and showing off their ghostly talents. So think about what Halloween activities your guests would be interested in and gather all the materials you need in advance. Also be sure to have some extra Halloween activities incase a game that you are expecting to take 45 minutes only lasts for 20. And do not forget the Halloween prizes, these can be easily and inexpensively assembled by a quick trip to your local novelty or dollar store or ordered online to be delivered straight to your door.

Step 7: Halloween music and sounds: there is no time then the present to start thinking about what kind of Halloween music you want at your Halloween party celebration. Are you looking for some fun party songs for dancing music, or hauntingly spooky background ghost music for a dinner party, or a collection of sing-a-longs for the kids. Also, you might want to incorporate some Halloween special effects outside with spooky horror sounds as your guests walk up to the front door. There are a lot of special music tapes or CD's available to purchase, or if your try making one on your own - it could be almost as much fun as the Halloween party itself.

Step 8:Halloween Party Favors: party favors add an extra treat of fun to any Halloween party and are a wonderful addition as a Halloween treat for each guest or something they can take home. They do not need to be elaborate Party Favors or costly and can range from a small plastic toy to a homemade individual bundle of snack mix wrapped in Halloween decoration style.

Step 9: Halloween Decorations: decorations for your front yard and house for Halloween can be a lot of fun and again does not need to be costly. You can get a lot of great eerie Halloween effects by experimenting with some horror lighting placed around your indoor and outdoor Halloween decorations. And adding in some Halloween music or ghost sounds can make some of your Halloween decorations come to life.

Step 10: Party Guests Arrival: today is the day - Halloween party Night, and your guests are about to arrive. Have a quick look around to see if all is in order and that your house is a safe setting. Keep a porch light on so everyone sees any steps or other obstacles, and make sure all your guests have a way back home after the Halloween festivities come to an end.

Final note: Remember that your Halloween party does not need to be elaborate, the main component of a great Halloween party are a few willing participants that want to have fun, a few simple Halloween decorations and props, toss in some spooky music and ghost sounds, and definitely the Halloween food - and you will have a smashingly and howling Halloween Party. So when the party starts, enjoy yourself! It will be a spookily great time.

The Golf Capital of the World

Ever antagonistic to its neighbors, Palm Beach Gardens has always been an independent-minded community. From its inception, when it was forced to change its name from Palm Beach City by the nearby city of Palm Beach, to more recently, when it usurped Naples title of The Golf Capital of the World, Palm Beach Gardens hasnt really cared what its neighbors thought of it. That being said, Palm Beach Gardens is a lovely community, with a wide variety of attractions to occupy your time.

Home to the headquarters of the PGA, there are 12 golf-courses within the city-limits of Palm Beach Gardens enough to keep even the most avid golfer busy for some time. There are great dining opportunities, and the atmosphere in most restaurants is unusually relaxed; youll be equally comfortable in either beach attire or a suit and tie in most cases. While not actually on the coast, Palm Beach Gardens is only a half-hour away from the treasure coast and all its fantastic recreational opportunities. Palm Beach Gardens is also home to one of the most exceptional shopping malls in the state.

Downtown at the Gardens is not your ordinary shopping mall. It is a very large, open air, pedestrian only center, featuring not only tons of stores and boutiques, but incredibly elaborate landscaping, three permanent fountains (each of which are exciting testaments to the ancient art of fountainry), and, best of all, an exclusive rotating collection of high-quality sculpture (which, like everything else in Florida, is for sale). There are over 160 stores in the mall, which has been called The most civilized mall in the state, and includes such favorites as a Whole Foods, a 16-screen Cobb Theater, a large selection of restaurants, and all of your favorite upscale retail stores. If you want to go to a mall in Florida, this is the one to go to.

But how to get to Palm Beach Gardens? Rickshaw? Donkey-back? Of course not! You want to travel to this fantastic bastion of consumerism in a limousine (or other luxury vehicle) from Mirage Limo. Theres no better way to go shopping than to start your trip in a limousine, and Mirage has you covered. (Please note, Mirage is a perfect choice for any event in Palm Beach Gardens; its use is certainly not limited to going to the mall).

Why Limousines Like Going Black

One common perception about black, which is probably one of the reasons as to why a lot of people would prefer black limousines for their rides instead of any other color, is that black represents a timeless elegance, making the appearance of the limousine more regal and more stylish.

This type of color can give whatever make or model of limousine a sleek and rich look, giving off an image of power and sophistication that other types of limousines cannot rival, nor duplicate. Black has always stood out amongst high-class and high-profile individuals, especially when it comes to the color of their cars and wardrobe, making it easier for people to associate the color black to wealth, which is something that people would like to emulate.

Another reason why limousines like to go black is the fact that black limousines are easier to associate to a certain event as compared to limousines of other color. Black limousines can be used for proms, a night out on the town, or even weddings, depending on the preferences of the passenger. Nonetheless, due to the fact that black limousines can easily fit in to whatever situation or event that it is being used for, this characteristic makes this particular type of limousine more popular with the limousine service companys customers, as well as the service provider themselves.

Due to their flexibility of being able to fit into whatever event, black limousines can help limousine rental providers reduce their cost in their services, especially since having a black limousine can already cover a lot of events and different situations, thereby eliminating the need to further get more limousines which is of a different type. This allows both the limousine service company, as well as its customers, to save some money on the cost of the limousine, especially since black limousines can be used for almost all kinds of events that would require a limousine service.

Black is also easier to clean and keep clean, as compared to white limousines, although stains, dirt and grime can still diminish the overall effectiveness of the limousines appearance and presence. But come to think of it, no matter what type your limousine is, if dirt, dust and mud is able to stain and dirty the limousine, it will greatly diminish the overall visual impact of the vehicle. Nonetheless, black limousines are a superb option for people who are looking for limousine rental services, especially since black limousines are easier to come by, and are a whole lot cheaper as compared to the other types of limousines. All you need is a little planning and coordination, and a black limousine will be able to give you the effect and impact that you desire.

Travel eBusiness Models - Travelocity

Travelocity.com / Travelocity.co.uk is owned and operated by Sabre Holdings a products, distribution and technology solutions company focused on the travel industry. Their consumer direct and business direct side of the business is Travelocity. Travelocity has several million registered users and booked $4.9 billion worth of travel business in 2004. [Sabre-Holdings.com]

At the time of writing, Travelocity is the second most popular brand in the world in the Internet travel marketplace. Travelocity.com is also the 386th most popular website in the world, whilst the British version, Travelocity.co.uk is the 4884th most popular. [Ranking.com]

Travelocity was established in 1996 as a subsidiary or Sabre Holdings and was the first travel website that allowed users to browse, reserve and book travel-related products online. [Answers.com]

Initially Travelocity appeared to be extremely community orientated regularly arranging offline meetings and presentations for do-it-yourself travellers.

In 1998 Travelocity changed direction and became more travel deals orientated. They did this by incorporating the availability to book flights, hotels and car hire directly from their home page. [Archive.org]

In 2000 Travelocity became more aware of the need to market themselves as a brand. This resulted in 2002 with a complete re-design of the website to make it more user-friendly and encourage return visitors.

Travelocitys present day website (designed in 2004) look and feel is starting to rely more on a higher percentage of graphics. This offers website users a more visually appealing experience, although it does rely on the user being more likely to have a slightly faster Internet connection than they used to. [Archive.org]

Travelocity Position

Travelocity.com is a fun, friendly, informative, useful and easy to use website. In addition to this it is professional and reliable. This demonstrates that Travelocity is comfortable to try and be a love all, serve all Internet Travel Portal.

Travelocity is however a company with an aggressive stance. It does not form strategic alliances with other companies in order to promote affiliate-marketing programmes. In addition, it regularly seeks out potential competitors to buy.

In 2000, Travelocity purchased another early web travel company, Preview Travel, [Answers.com] whilst in 2002 it purchased Site59.com a New York based travel business that specialise in late bookings.

On 12th May 2005 it was announced that Travelocity had agreed to buy lastminute.com for 577m creating Europe's biggest online travel retailer. [Silicon.com] Part of the reason why Travelocity wants to gain dominance quickly in the Internet Travel Marketplace and grow by acquisition is that it understands that the market is growing and evolving quickly.

It wants to be the first choice in the majority of consumers minds for future travel purchases. This is therefore one of their major strengths. Whether or not their decision not to evolve by forming strategic alliances may thwart this aggressive growth strategy is yet to be seen.

To a certain degree, opportunities within the Internet travel marketplace for Travelocity are still limitless. They can still expand to cover more countries Internationally, they can still improve upon their overall marketshare and they can still expect both Internet users and the amount of Internet users willing to book online to increase significantly.

Travelocity Core Competences

Travelocity are striving towards ensuring that their brand is the most recognised and trusted available in the Internet Travel marketplace. Their most important core competency is to offer an integrated, easy-to-use and intuitive website that keeps people wanting to come back to it much more that any competitor in the field.

Travelocity Competitive Advantage

Travelocity have recently introduced their Bill of Rights onto their website:
Customers have the right to

1) Get what you booked
2) The best overall value in travel
3) Accurate and objective information upfront

4) Find what youre looking for quickly and easily

5) A straightforward presentation of your options

6) Speak with someone and get help anytime

7) Be inspired by your travel company

[Travelocity.com]

These seven key customer issues have been highlighted to demonstrate why Travelocity believe that they are better than the competition. Travelocity want their brand to represent trust, reliability and service and therefore define what they believe their competitive advantage to be.

The Merchant Model Conclusion

The merchant model is without doubt the most competitive Internet business model for the travel industry. The two main worldwide competitors Expedia and Travelocity have chosen to focus upon price and service level differentiation respectively. It could be argued that Expedia however focus on their value-adding activities their existing infrastructure in order to derive their core competencies of efficiency and price. Travelocity on the other hand rely upon their bill of rights core competency in order to drive their value adding activities.

Reasons to visit the Dordogne region of France

There are many reasons to visit and explore the Dordogne region of France. Some of the key highlights inlude:

Lascaux caves.

The prehistoric paintings at Lascaux are probably the most renowned cave paintings in the world. The cave paintings you can now visit are a copy of the prehistoric paintings contained in the original Lascaux caves, 200 metres away, because human breath was damaging the originals. The replica paintings have been made using the same materials and techniques as were used for the original paintings, 19,000 years ago.

The Lascaux cave paintings are mostly pictures of large animals, including the 'auroch' - a now extinct early relative of the ox (it is thought that the Auroch was worshiped as a sacred beast in prehistoric times). Truly a remarkable experience, and you quickly forget that you are looking at modern day replicas.

Sarlat

Sarlat is a beautiful medieval town a few kilometres north of the River Dordogne. The old town, dating from both medieval and renaissance times is a pleasure to visit, especially during the spring and autumn, or early in the morning. If you can catch the early morning sunshine on the yellow sandstone buildings, so much the better.

Wander through the back streets around the cathedral to get a feel for how the town must have been 500 years ago.

Les Eyzies

Les Eyzies is at the centre of a very beautiful area, in the Vezere Valley, with numerous cliff and rock formations, surrounded by rivers, hills and tranquil countryside. At the centre of prehistoric life in Europe, there are several interesting cave systems and prehistoric relics to visit around Les Eyzies.

Les Eyzies is also home to the National Prehistory Museum which houses one of the worlds most complete collections of prehistoric artefacts. Just a couple of hundred metres from the National Prehistory museum is Abri Pataud, a cro-magnon shelter dating back almost 40,000 years. The cave-lined Vzre valley has been classified as a World Heritage Site by UNESCO

Chateaux

In the Dordogne region there are reputed to be 1001 chateaux. Many of the most magnificent are open to the public. Start perhaps with the Chateau de Commarque, Chateau de Castelnaud, or (my personal favourite) Chateau de Beynac, set high above the Dordogne river and the attractive village of Beynac.

Each has its own impressive tale to tell of centuries of conflict, often between the French and the English during the Hundred Years War, and each has its own magnificent views over the surrounding countryside.

Most beautiful villages

There are several villages in the Dordogne region that have received the prestigious Most Beautiful Villages of France award. These include Monpazier, a perfectly preserved medieval bastide town to the south of the region; La Roque-Gageac, a picture postcard village spread out along the Dordogne river, with troglodyte dwellings and a tropical garden spreading up the cliff behind; and Beynac, mentioned above for its castle but equally attractive as a village in its own right

Several other villages in the immediate vicinity also have the award.

The Dordogne region provides a glimpse into a world virtually unchanged as the centuries have unfolded, and a visit is always an unforgettable experience.

Marcus Smith lives in, and writes about, France. For more information about the Dordogne region visit www.northofthedordogne.com and for France in general visit http://www.francethisway.com.

Cheap Deals On Home Phones - How Genuine Are They?

Cheap deals on home phones - how genuine are they?

Buying telephones online offers a real cost saving compared with buying direct from BT or other stores. So what are the catches? by Frost Telecoms

UNTESTED - Lets be honest, it does not take much to test a phone so if someone is offering something untested 9 times out of 10 it really means 'tested but faulty'. For example an untested phone may be worth 5 but by offering it tested the value is probably 15. No sane seller would lose 10 just by not testing it. So BEWARE - untested probably means FAULTY. You get what you pay for!!

NEW/USED - Catalogue returns are a large proportion of phones that are sold on through websites and EBay. Some sellers cheekily call these NEW when they obviously aren't. If the item is missing the original box or user guide then there is a very slim chance of the item still being New.

USER GUIDES - Sometimes these are original or sometimes offered on cd or online. Read the ad fully to make sure you are getting some kind of user guide. With todays technology there are so many features you will not be able to use or simply not know about without a user guide.

CAN YOU TRUST THE SELLER - Feedback on Ebay is a great way to check out a seller, but remember to scroll back a few pages. With many sellers selling 10+ items a day it is always worth taking a good look to get a proper idea of what other customers thought. Also, always ask the seller a question before your purchase. If their customer service is any good then you will receive a quick & helpful response - if not, simply don't buy from them. Can you imagine how bad the customer service will be after you have parted with your money? (Exclude weekends from this trial as many sellers work Mon-Fri)

DELIVERY - If the item is cheap, have you checked the postage costs. I have regularly seen items that I offer to post for 4 being offered with 10 postage. This simply is not fair and is a way of conning people.

SMALL PRINT - Yes the item might sound amazing and you are hastily reaching towards you wallet - but slow down and read the small print. Here you will find the real truths about your item.

It may be that there are big scratches, a handset is missing, the item will take 3 weeks to be delivered, the item is untested, you need to add VAT on the final price etc etc. The list is totally endless and I have seen some very scary things listed in the small print of some ads. Be Careful!!! If a seller is advertising thing with tiny tiny small print well below the main ad then you need to wonder how good the item is.

PHOTOS - Lots of sellers use stock photos of their items (including ourselves at Frost Telecoms) however some people could be using this as a way of disguising a rough item. The best way of finding out the true condition of the item is to ask the seller for a picture. Everyone nowadays has a digital camera or phone so there should be no excuses why you cant be sent a photo of the item. Again, if the seller won't oblige, can you really trust him.

WARRANTY - If there is no mention of a warranty then you sure won't get one. If the phone breaks in a week I really can't see you getting a refund. If you really want the item then ask the seller how much warraty he is willing to offer. If the answer comes back none or a week or two , then you really need to consider whether the item is likely to work for more than that time.

How To Save Money Shopping Online

Learn how to save BIG online by searching for multiple coupons, getting free shipping, comparing prices and researching the brands.

Many consumers think that online shopping is more expensive because they wouldnt have to pay shipping at the brick-n-mortar store. They dont know what youre about to find out.

Did you know that there are thousands of websites that exist just to provide you with coupons for online stores? Did you know you can find sites that compare prices, and brand features, or that entire forums and networks are dedicated to allowing users to voice their own opinion about a product or service? Did you know many stores use their online portal and email newsletters as a quick way to unload overstocked products at below-cost prices? Did you know some stores allow you to combine free shipping deals with dollar off deals, with percent off deals, with buy-one-get-one deals? Did you know there are companies that allow you to join their affiliate program and save hundreds of dollars by selling yourself their product? I know of one that lets me buy a hosting package for $95 including taxes, and then deposits $100 back into my affiliate account a few months later. They are actually paying ME to buy their product. It says nothing against doing this in the agreement I signed, and as far as Im concerned it is a dont ask; dont tell situation.

Most of these sites did not exist five years ago, at least not with such economic success while providing such unprecedented value. We have the emergence of Affiliate Marketing to thank for this, as you will see below.

The Digital Coupon

I was shopping for a relatives Christmas present last year and my mother saw me get onto a coupon site. It was http://www.thecouponmatrix.com , which has little coupon-like dashes around the logos, and she asked "Are you going to print that coupon out?" It dawned on me then that perhaps not 'everyone' knew what an affiliate program was, or that thousands of merchants pay bloggers and website owners in every conceivable industry to distribute online coupons via special codes that the buyer types into a field during the checkout process: "Save 25% on everything today only! Enter Code: 12345 at Checkout." Others just apply the code automatically when you click on the link: "Get free shipping. Click Here." If you are going to buy the Blue Widget brand of widgets, for example, go to Google and type: 'blue widget coupons' or 'blue widget coupon codes'. You'll be surprised at how many there are!

Double Dipping

Most ecommerce systems these days are smart enough to allow stores to make coupons not applicable with any other offers. But the employee behind this million dollar ecommerce system doesnt always have his coffee in the morning and you can often find online stores that allow multiple coupons to the point of practically getting something for free: Free shipping + 25% off + $10 off + Get one free = A heck of a deal! Do a Google search for "you can use multiple coupons" and see if you can find any of your favorite stores.

Compare Prices

There are plenty of websites out there that will check databases from thousands of online stores and return the result that has the cheapest price for the product you asked for. You might already know some of them, such as: amazon.com, pricegrabber.com, bizrate.com, and Nextag.com.

Compare Brands

Less common than the price comparison site, but equally as useful, is the brand comparison. Before you try to find where to buy, you need to know what to buy. That's where sites like http://www.comparethebrands.com come in. They take two brands (i.e. Treo VS Blackberry Smart-phones) and compare features, price, consumer opinion from other review websites, and come up with an unbiased suggestion as to which brand is the best buy, thus saving you money both short-term and in the long run with a higher quality product.

Join Newsletters and Feeds

Get a free Hotmail or Gmail account, and use it only to subscribe to your favorite stores newsletters. Before long you will have a library of emails from which to select coupon codes, limited time offers and deep, deep discounts on overstocked items. I often see the price being offered in the email to the newsletter group can be as much as half of that listed on the website for everyone else to see. Feeds are slowly taking over instead of newsletters, and have the added benefit of being more anonymous. You can sign up for Compare The Brands 10 Most Recent ever-flowing feed of product reviews just by copying and pasting the URL into bloglines or Google feed reader. You can even get a widget and put it on your desktop.

Sell Yourself and Double the Winnings

Affiliate programs gave birth to this type of service and utility in the ecommerce industry by allowing regular Joe's to place a link on their own website, or in an email, and get a percent of the sale every time someone went from their link to the merchants' site and purchased something. What those new to the affiliate marketing industry do not know is that most merchants have no clause in the affiliate agreement about using the discounts to buy for yourself. Just join all the programs you can, keep a page somewhere online that you can put all of the links on, and next time you want to buy something just go through your own link. Not only will you save by using the coupon code, but you get a percent of the sale. How much cash back does Visa give - 0.02%? Hop on over to Commission Junction, Shareasale or Linkshare to get up to 25% back every time!

Remember: Compare the brands, join the newsletters, compare prices and double dip those coupons while selling yourself on a Great Deal! Youll be the best customer you've ever had. I promise.

Best Way To Learn A Foreign Language

I have never quite understood how to learn a foreign language. It is a shame too. Learning a foreign language is pretty necessary in this day and age. If you learn foreign language, it makes you more employable in a variety of areas, as well as enhancing your cultural experience. Say what you want about modern translations, but until you learn foreign languages you never get to experience the beauty of foreign writers. Nevertheless, I have only managed to learn a foreign language once, and it was so difficult for me that I doubt I will ever try it again. It was just too much work!

I managed to get all the way through college without ever successfully completing a learn foreign language program. I took a little bit of French in high school, but I dropped it after a couple of semesters. In general, I was a good student. Most subjects came easy to me, but I couldn't manage to learn foreign language no matter how hard I tried. I loved French culture and French literature, and I desperately wanted to learn how to speak French, but it just wouldn't come. I ended up taking an American sign language class to get rid of my learn foreign language requirement. Even that was difficult!

I struggled with learning a foreign language all through college. I went to a liberal arts university that demanded it, and I knew that I could not graduate with the degree that I wanted unless I managed to learn foreign language. I tried using how to speak French software, hiring a private tutor, and working with conversation partners, but nothing worked. I only successfully managed to learn foreign language when I finally went abroad. I spent a year in France, and it was one of the most difficult years of my life. Ultimately, however, it was also one of the most rewarding. I would never have managed to learn foreign language without it, you see.

To this day, I believe that the only way to really learn foreign languages is to completely immerse yourself in another culture. If you can speak English at all, you will not learn how to speak a foreign language. Instead, you will keep falling back on your English skills. If you need to learn foreign language in order to interact on a daily basis, however, it will come much more quickly. If I learned a foreign language in a year, you can probably do it using the same methods in six months!

Six Ways to Use the Internet to Improve Your New & Used-Vehicle Shopping Experience to Buy or Lease;

Have I Got A Deal For You!

Shopping the Online Deals!

Shopping online offers many positives: convenience you shop in the comfort of your own home at any time of the day or night you choose; selection- thousands of stores at your fingertips; security- contrary to what many believe, online transactions with secure sites can be the more secure than handing your credit card to a sales associate, or walking through a mall and subjecting yourself to possible theft; and perhaps most inviting, the opportunity for substantial savings!

I have to admit to being a devoted online shopper. But, I am even more devoted to finding the best deal possible. There are dozens of ways to save online.

First, of course, the stores themselves often offer online discounts not available in brick and mortar (B&M) stores. Plus, the online stores that do not operate B&M stores, like Amazon.com not only discount most items on their sites, but regularly offer additional savings in the form of discounts, free shipping, or both. For the novice, try the Amazon.com Friday only sale!

Next are the deals sites. Most of these sites provide two or three services. First, they alert you to special savings on virtually any product daily. Next, they catalogue all of the discount codes that can be used in ordering to reap greater savings. And, third, some will even hunt down a bargain on a specific item for you. Theres even a site that posts the Black Friday sales at major B&M stores like Best Buy and Kmart weeks in advance, and one that posts on Saturday the grocery coupons that will appear in your Sunday newspaper supplements. It doesnt take long to do your homework, investigate the best sites for your needs and bookmark them for use when you are ready to shop.

There are also member sites (free membership) that provide monetary rebates, or the opportunity to accumulate points for discount redemption. All these sites ask is that you click through them to reach the store site you plan to shop with. The actual rebates are usually small 1% to 6% of your purchase. But they add up, and how exciting when that forgotten about $15 or $20 check comes in the mail every few months!

Heres an example. I needed a new pair of black pants. I found what I wanted style and size - at an online store. They were onsale - marked down from $29.00 to $24.00. I went to one of my bookmarked deals sites and found a discount code for 40% off any item. Then, I opened my member rebate site, clicked to open the store site, located my pants and put them in my shopping cart. I went to checkout, entered my discount code, bringing the cost of the pants to $14.40. Shipping was $4.99 bringing the total to $19.39. I paid no tax; I didnt drive my car, so spent nothing on gas or parking; and the entire effort lasted about 15 minutes and I did it in my robe and slippers. Then I received a credit from my rebate site for an additional $1.54.

Sometimes you can find stackable codes that allow both a percentage discount and free shipping. Many of the major retailers offer consistent free shipping some with a purchase minimum, some with no minimum.

If you havent shopped online, but are looking at the shrinking power of your dollars, I strongly suggest hopping on the online shopping train!

Whats Worth Doing When You Travel To Singapore As A Family Holiday Maker With Kids

You chose to travel to Southeast Asia as your next holiday getaway. You decided Singapore as your next travel destination. However, you have few problems that bothering your mind. You are going there with your kids. In addition, you have not been in Singapore before. But, your friends or other relatives have told you how great Singapore is as holiday destination. You believed them and that you decided to go to Singapore no matter what.

Are you in that situation? Relax, that a deep breath. This article will tell you what is worth doing when you are in Singapore with your kids. Which attractions kids enjoy most? Which places kids would love going to? Below are my suggestions

Singapore Zoological Garden ( http://www.zoo.com.sg )

The Singapore Zoological Garden or simply the zoo adapts the open zoo concept. Which means, no oppressive cage are in sight. Instead, animals are separated from visitors by means of wet or dry moats concealed with vegetation. Landscaped glass-fronted enclosures are used for certain animals such as jaguars and leopards. You should not miss this one place when you visit Singapore with kids.

Do come in the morning and have breakfast with the most celebrated orang utan in Jungle Breakfast with Wildlife at Jungle Flavours. I am sure you will get your family amused to start the day. Take memorable photographs with the orang utan or snake to add more fun.

After that, catch the Wonders of The Wild Show at 10:30 AM. Let the spider monkeys, macaques, humongous pythons and splashing sea lions be the stars of that morning.

Then, you can roam around the zoo to visit other animal exhibits namely the Orang Utan, White Tiger, Wild Africa, Cat Country, Elephants of Asia, Primate Kingdom, Hamadryas Baboons, Polar Bear, Reptile Garden, Fragile Forest and Australian Outback. In addition, do not forget to go for the elephant or pony rides before you leave.

Night Safari ( http://www.nightsafari.com.sg )

Night Safari is next to the Zoo but operated from 06:30PM onwards. It is the worlds first wildlife park built for visits at night. Yes, explore wildlife in the tropical jungle at night! Superb lighting technique create a moonlight effect and recreated the jungle atmosphere in this 40 hectares of lush secondary forest, which houses over 1000 nocturnal animals of 100 species in vast, naturalistic habitats.

The tram-stop-walk-tram like tour will bring you to various stops and trails where you can view animals that you sometimes do not think they exist.

Have you ever seen a screw goat? This is makhor, which is the largest goat in the world and considered King of Wild Goats. Why screw? Because, its horns twist into a spiral resembling a corkscrew. Look out for them at Himalayan Foothills. Other animal exhibits are Nepalese River Valley (Otter, Wolf, Greater Asian Rhino, Jackal and Sambar Deer), Indian Subcontinent (Striped Hyena, Gir Lion and the Sloth Bear), Equatorial Africa (Giraffe, Serval, Spotted Hyena, Bongo and the Hippo ), Indo-Malayan Region (Hog Deer, Bearded Pig and Tiger ), Asian Riverine Forest (Tapir, Red Dhole, Asian Elephant and Banteng), South American Pampas (Maned Wolf, Capybara and Giant Anteater) and Burmese Hillside (Guar and Thamin).

To add the thrills there are also animal trails namely Fishing Cat Trail, The Leopard Trail and Forest Giants Trail. And not forgetting, the Creatures of Night Show where the star casts includes otters, binturongs, raccoons, owls, wolves, hyenas and servals. Well, this place is a must for added kids excitements.

Jurong Bird Park ( http://www.birdpark.com.sg )

Jurong Bird Park is the next place you should not miss. Its 20.2-hectare open-concept park is the largest in the Asia Pacific and probably the best in the world. It has more than 9000 birds from 600 species in its collection. It specialises birds from Southeast Asia.

Sentosa Island ( http://www.sentosa.com.sg )

This 500-hectare island is where you and your family will experience a unique mixture of leisure and recreational events. It has loads of attractions, water sports, sandy beaches, golf courses and hotel resorts. In fact, you can spend the whole day here if you have the time. However, for family with kids, here are my suggestions

Carlsberg Sky Tower: - Have a scenic and breathtaking experience as you go atop Singapores tallest observatory tower where you can enjoy panoramic views of Singapore, Sentosa, Southern Islands and Malaysia and Indonesian islands.

Underwater World: - This oceanarium housed more than 2500 fishes from 250 different species. Have a hands on experience with starfish, stingrays and baby sharks. Then, venture into the ocean depths via a moving travellator, which spread through 83 metre long with fishes such as sharks, stingrays, eels all around you.

Dolphin Lagoon: - Included in your ticket price is the entrance to Dolphin Lagoon. Catch the Meet the Dolphin sessions at 11am, 1.30pm, 3.30pm & 5.30pm daily.

Sentosa 4D Magix: - Do not miss this spectacular and mind-blowing interactive experience. Enjoy the visual effects, surround sound, individually controlled motion seats and get wet with special live environmental effects water spray and many surprises.

The Flying Trapeze: - Fear of height? Try this. This fantastic entertainment let you experience as a flying trapeze. It helps develop ones mind, body and coordination. For kids 4 years and above but not for pregnant women.

Sijori Wondergolf: - You do not need to have Tiger Woods talent to play this golf. Because, this is a miniature golf park. Fifty-four creative landscaped green set in three different 18-hole courses will put your kids fun and excitement to become the next Tiger Woods.

Escape Theme Park ( http://www.escapethemepark.com.sg )

Keep your kids occupied in this amusement park. There are rides for kids, big kids and families. Lookout for the Daytona Go-Kart, its exciting. Other attractions you can find there are Bumper Boats, Central Pavilion, Coca Cola Pirate Ship, Family Coaster, Ferris Wheel, Inverter, Revolution and many more.

Wild Wild Wet ( http://www.wildwildwet.com )

This waterpark located just next to the Escape Theme Park. You can even buy combo ticket for both entrances together. Here, you and your family can get wet with flumes, twisty slide, wave pool namely Ular-Lah, The Waterworks, Walls Tsunami and many others. In fact, you can spend the whole afternoon here.

Well, of course there are much more to explore with your kids in Singapore. These are my personal suggestions so that your mind is not blank once you step on our beautiful Changi International Airport (http://www.changiairport.com ).
